Job Description

We are a technology company focused on creating compelling digital products for architecture, design, and the unbuilt environment. Our projects span architectural visualization, interactive simulations, and creative media. We have studios in New York, London, and Barcelona.

The Art Director is responsible for creatively directing films, imagery, apps and immersive architectural experiences, reviewing and maintaining the quality of all produced materials to the highest standard directing any revisions in line with client feedback. 

The Art Director works closely with the Project and Technical Director with direct client interaction and in the professional development of artists. The Art director takes a lead on motivating the team and assists in all aspects of creating a highly motivated, efficient and productive team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the art direction of the studio for what concerns films, animations, images and UE apps
  • Storyboarding for films, color grading and CG production images
  • Manage quality and control, post-production of all final imagery and film produced 
  • Develop and deliver high quality photorealistic 3D visualisations & animations for clients 
  • Meet with executive level management to discuss the best approach to present projects to the clients, organizing an appropriate work schedule and ensuring the delivery of projects, respecting budgets and deadlines 
  • Manage artists output and deliverables, including setting goals, managing workflows and improving techniques to meet business expectations and continually push the bar on quality and photorealism
  • Lead and be the point of contact for the artistic direction of projects and ensure a consistent aesthetic quality across projects, images and film.
  • Collaborate with the Project Director in identifying development opportunities for artists.
  • Partner with Project Director to assist in the recruitment and appraisal process of artists
  • Be an ambassador for Novaverse; attend client meetings, design reviews and industry events
  • Lead research and investigation of new technologies and practices
  • Collaborate closely with the CPO to make sure the output maintains a cohesive artistic vision
  • Liaise, meet and lead client calls alongside the Project Director

Technical skills

  • Good knowledge of Unreal Engine 5
  • Outstanding post production experience
  • Advanced knowledge in Adobe AfterEffects, Premier and Photoshop
  • Camera matching and tracking for still and moving imagery 
  • Understanding of wide range of arch viz related softwares
  • Experienced in live action Green Screen and Virtual production

Professional Experience:

  • 5+ years professional experience as a 3D Visualiser. Exceptional technical expertise
  • Demonstrable experience within R+D and improving workflow
  • Team management, mentorship and development experience
  • Extensive client management experience
  • Proven delivery to set deadlines
